About the show
Into the Acid Fountain (The Federico Fellini Variety Hour) is both an homage to and parody of Federico Fellini’s classic film La Dolce Vita. Half narrative, half satirical cabaret, the show explores the desperate actions of Marcello (Nathan Surprenant) as he searches for some kind of personal fulfillment in fin-de-siècle Minneapolis.
Performed as part of the Minnesota Fringe Festival 2001 at Minneapolis Theater Garage. Friday, August 3 at 8:30 p.m.; Saturday, August 4 at 4 p.m.; Monday, August 5 at 8:30 p.m.; Thursday, August 9 at 10 p.m.; Saturday, August 11 at 8:30 p.m.; and Sunday, August 12 at 1 p.m.
